Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) is a rhizome closely related to ginger and common throughout many parts of Asia. It has a rich history in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine where it has been used for over 4000 years.

What are some of the benefits of Turmeric?

Turmeric is packed with more than 100 naturally occurring beneficial compounds. Of these, Curcuminoids, powerful natural antioxidants which are responsible for its’ bright yellow/gold colour are thought to be the most important.

Other components which act both independently and synergistically with Curcuminoids include:

• Beta-carotene: A powerful antioxidant
• Vitamin B & C
